about

The Cousin Silas Emporium is a Facbebook group that began several years back. I have wanted to do an Emporium Members album for some time and finally got around to it. The majority of the material is solo material featuring the members own work. Whilst I am known, primarily, for creating ambient, the musicians in the Emporium are an incredibly diverse and creative bunch. So I wanted a project that would reflect their styles, not mine, showing the diversity of genres and creativity that they bring to the table.

I have known many of the musicians for a fair time, indeed, I have collaborated with several of them, the results of which appear on the We Are All Ghosts Netlabel as Cousin Silas & Friends. There are a few collaborations in this series too, however, a couple of them are with artists who I have never collaborated with before, although we have been FB friends for years. Odd how things work out.

My good friend and Emporium member, Thomas Mathie, has created the cover/s. So this is indeed a full on Emporium Artists Project.
